My works are tapestries of visual harmonies, movement and rhythms inspired from my love of Jazz, Salsa, World Music, African and Latin percussion. I approach each painting as a creation that will hold voices of resonant energy that generate a unique mood which the viewer can engage & participate with.
The atmosphere in the paintings supports the rhythmic and lyrical patterns floating within the two dimensional spaces. The colors, gestures and markings reference the rhythm, energy, and mood of virtual sound.
Patterns interweave and share an environment that is complex, cooperative, and dynamic, in much the same way individual instruments create music collectively.
